The Pima Cotton fibre has a more regular and opened shape, allowing the light reflect in a higher proportion.

The second element is that the diameter of the fibre is thinner compared to the standard cotton. The Pima Cotton fibre is more flat, having less torsion.

To say that is also a very ancient cotton plant that was known already before the spanish conquest. The inca civilization belief, as it was so soft and brilliant, was that the common people could not use it! So only the Inca king could use it!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Where does the Pima Cotton come from?

The pima cotton has its origins in the northern coastal areas of Peru, where it grows wild. It is known since the times of the Inca empire in Perú. At those days, it was found a wild cotton plant that produced fibres that were so incredibly fine and soft. It also has a special luster we can compare to the silk. For these reasons, the people thought it was a gift from the ‘Gods’ to their Inca king. This is why the peruvian pima cotton is known also as the Cotton of the Gods.

As you can imagine, it’s use was reserved only to the Inca and his family, who were the only who could wear this super soft garments.

The history tells us that the peruvian Inca civilization was trading with north american indians, and the Pima tribe in North America received the seeds of this fantastic plant. This tribe understood the value of this plant, and cultivated it on their territories.
During the discovery of America, the colonizers discovered first this fantastic cotton from the Pima. For this reason it was named the Pima Cotton.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

How to wash the Pima Cotton garments?

Incredibly easy. Eventhough it’s fine and super soft fibres, the peruvian pima cotton is much more resistant than the standard cotton. For this reason all the B.e Quality cotton garments can be washed on the washing machine. We reccomend 40ºC, as to reduce the impact on the environment.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

The Pima Cotton naturally grows with these characteristics of softness & luster.

The Pima Cotton belongs to the ELS cotton (Extra Long Staple)

category: it’s fibre is from 50% to 75% longer that common cotton

fibre. For this reason a B.e Quality garment is more resistant to pilling and wear.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] How can B.e Quality Cotton be softer and more resistant?
